By the time I get to see them—I’m primarily teaching undergrad seniors—they’ve had six courses in supply chain management, and they’ve had internships or co-ops with some leading firms. I get to tie a lot of that together. General business simulation games with manufacturing functions included are described briefly. Twenty-two specialized manufacturing and supply chain simulations are discussed in detail showing their features and decision-making possibilities. The study is useful for educators, trainers, and companies looking for practical learning methods.The goal is to investigate from a pedagogical and practical perspective which strategy is the most effective using SBT techniques for business education—pure strategy (strictly cooperative/competitive) or mixed (a combination of both).
