Yes. Litter-Robot 4 uses laser and weight sensor technology to detect when your cat enters and exits the globe, which triggers the countdown timer and cleaning cycle. The SmartScale™ will not recognize kittens that weigh less than 3 lbs. Therefore, kittens that weigh less than 3 lbs can use Litter-Robot 4, but not in automatic mode. Hard reset: push and hold both the Connect and Reset Buttons at the same time until it turns off -> wait 2 minutes -> turn back on with power button.
