Rimworld mods not showing up

There is also no option in the various toggles lower right. (show roofs, etc.) / brings up the menu, but still no options to have the menu toolbar up top as before I updated to 1.3Just the other day I got back into Rimworld, chose several mods and had a GUI problem whereby menu items were missing from the architect tab. I reduced the number of mods and the problem magically went away. You'll likely need to do your own due diligence with a binary search: Remove half the mods and see if the problem persists.

From now on, I will refer to the steam account without Rimworld as "alt account", and steam account with Rimworld as "main account". So I haven't actually played Rimworld in a good while. It got to the point where the mod load was taking an hour at least, and I had other games to play and I just set it down. Rimworld workshop mods require a connection to Steam when you first open the game, or least they have in past versions.
Having a similar problem. Did the full restart and a fresh install of Rimworld. Unsubscribed and deleted the mods folder and cleared the mods cache in users. Steam shows Rimworld is up to date with no downloads queued, but in game it just says downloading... endlessly and only gives the mod workshop ID.That's the file that tells Steam which mods you have downloaded for RimWorld. Deleting it causes Steam to recreate it, I don't remember if it redownloads all the mods or if you have to resubscribe to them. It's located in the following folder: *\Steam\steamapps\workshop\. Normally this kind of issue is because you start Rimworld while Steam is in offline mode, or you start Rimworld outside of Steam. Steam's usually very picky with workshop interaction with games.
