It's a frickin pain in the ass no matter which model. I removed the lower subframe bolts and loosened the top ones, then swung the subframe up and out of the way. I think you have to loosen the rear brake res and/or master cyclinder too. You can secure the subframe up with a tie down to the handlebar cross bar. #8.1) Remove the throttle wheel cover from your FCR. 2) Work the O-Ring over the timing adjustment screw. 3) Pull the O-Ring over the black AP cam thusly. 4) Re-install the throttle wheel cover.
