Cloud DVR only does 2.0 stereo in my experience. Traditional DVR limits you to two recordings at a time. Cloud DVR allows unlimited simultaneous recordings. With cloud you can access the records anywhere you can get internet and you usually have more storage space and more tuners.

When Xumo boxes are purchased outright, they can be exchanged in a Spectrum store within the first 30 days. After the 30 days, any warranty or replacement issues would need to be handled by the Xumo site chat. Dec 11, 2023 · Other apps on the Spectrum-provided Xumo work fine - but the Spectrum app gets blurry and buffers constantly (exactly nine times in a span of 15 minutes - including several 2-minute buffering). Prime Video app worked fine on the Xumo - no buffering. There is obviously a problem with the Spectrum app working on Xumo. The Xumo Stream TV Box should have some sort of Live TV interface that supports Live TV from Spectrum and Xfinity instead of using separate apps, similar to the DIRECTV Stream Osprey box. I heard that the Xumo Stream Box is slow because it doesn't have processing power that's fast enough. Hopefully they upgrade it so it's faster.Currently the Xumo does not have a traditional Picture in Picture feature, though it is possible that it will be added in a future update since it was just added into our app on iOS and Android devices. The Xumo would use the smaller PIP window if you are watching something and navigate to the guide, but it will only show on the guide page.This is why others and myself who have subscribed to cable for decades, encourage those to switch from Cloud DVR, (or XUMO) if they are having similar problems to switch to a regular DVR box. The Spectrum TV app is available on Roku, Apple TV, Samsung TVs, Xumo TVs, and Xbox consoles. Spectrum's iOS and Android apps support Chromecast as well. The DVR situation's a bit complicated ...But I think that for people with non-DVR boxes that setting reminder times should be something brought back to all supported Spectrum receivers that don't have this option. (Spectrum Guide, ODN, I-Guide etc.) This upgrade should be brought back. Some boxes had it years ago under the legacy TWC/BHN/Charter systems. The cloud DVR can be accessed on any of the streaming devices and I plan to switch to Xumo once the DVRs need to be replaced.
