But it'd have to be a pretty major leak from the gas cap to cause the P0455 code which indicates a large leak. P0456 = small leak, P0452 indicates a medium leak.

I fixed my P0456 code with a 2 inch square piece of flat marble tile and some 800 grit sandpaper. Place a piece of rag in the fuel filler neck to prevent the grit from going down into the tank.
