The gift will support scholarships for students in the Ageno School of Business and a fellowship for a lawyer at the School of Law.Ms. Bita Daryabari Ms. Bita Daryabari began her career in the telecommunications industry at GammmaLink, Inc., an early pioneer in computer fax and networking products. Following Gammalink, she moved to MCI Communications were she worked for three and half years and was repeatedly distinguished as a "President's Circle" top achiever.In 2016, Daryabari made a major gift to the University of California, Berkeley, to bolster the study of Iranian languages, literature, arts and culture, and history at the university. The Bita Daryabari Presidential Chair in Iranian Studies supports a faculty member in the Department of Near Eastern Studies whose research focuses on ancient Iran.
