Uchigatana ds2
The way raw works is that it reduces your weapon's scaling to increase your weapon's raw damage. My vague memory says that you'll always get more damage via scaling than you would gain via a raw upgrade in OG Dark Souls (might not be true in the sequels, but my memory is much fuzzier on those titles).The uchigatana feels so slow in this game. Any recommendations of a dex weapon with good damage and fast strikes like the uchigatana from ds1 and ds3? Thanks in advance.

EvelynBlood. • 3 yr. ago. Both are great. I personally prefer the Uchigatana on a pure dex build and the Balder Side Sword on a Dex/Int or Dex/Fth build. Main reason is that at 14str/40dex the Uchigatana has 420 attack rating and the Balder Side Sword has 379. Against enemies with high physical resistance that extra ~40AR is pretty noticeable.basically lightning and fire are both good but there are a few enemies in the game immune to fire and some resistant to lightning lightning and fire do decent damage and can carry you through ng but will screw you over on ng+, if you level up you dex to 40 an have a +15 normal uchi you will do the most damage possibleUchigatana Build Help . Depends on your stats, really. But since it is a DEX weapon I would recommend sharp infusion and leveling up DEX. It depends on your stats.
