Research. Research in our laboratory focuses on mechanisms underlying the regulation of gene expression and how these mechanisms are disrupted in neurodegenerative diseases. We use high-throughput functional genomics and genetic association studies to identify regions of the genome with functional effects on tissues and cells of the brain.Our laboratory develops pharmacological means of promoting innate immunity, primarily the one mediated by NK cells, against various cancers such as solid tumors and hematological malignancies.
