Simplisafe outdoor camera battery not charging
We bought the SSafe outdoor camera and the battery died in 36 hours (little use). SSafe replaced it under warranty, and the replacement depleted 25% of the battery in a week. Neither were close to the three month battery life claimed by SSafe. We installed this panel and it has, so far, kept the battery at 100% all day.Taking everything into account, we think the new SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera is a great buy. For just $169.99, we got an IP65 rated device that delivered excellent video quality, rain or shine, day or night. The 140-degree field of view isn't the widest on the market, but it's far from the smallest.A bit of an update, with some freshened data. I spent an hour or so with tech support yesterday, climbed the ladder, reset the camera (removed the battery, reset the camera, which removed it from the app, re-added the camera). That was at around 1 PM. Pulled the battery, gave it a fresh charge (for 5 hours), reinstalled the battery.
