07-28-2023 03:50 PM. Very similar experience. Shortly after moving into our new address and getting FiOS installed, we had major problems with our Internet service. Was specifically told the $99 service visit charge would be waived since it was close to the installation date.So I scheduled for a tech to come out and get me all set up. No where did it state that I'd be charged $99 for the tech to come out. When i just contacted Fios, she said that the $99 fee is waived if you set it up yourself, not for the tech to come out and set it up. Be aware. I would give them a call and ask if they will credit you.
