The 2 wire sensor is the intake air temp sensor. The 3 wire sensor is the Boost pressure sensor. Thr boost has nothing to do with the intake heater. The other sensor is the coolant temp sensor. It is located in the top of the block on the drivers side. It ia a 2 wire sensor as well.
A couple of things are happening, fuel is being pumped the engine is doing some computer checks and if the weather is cool, there is a powerful heater, heating up the intake so that the engine starts easily.
