Use the best stuff you can in your trans. Just drain & change the external spin on filter. I too tow a 35ft, 5er about every month during the camping season. The most important thing to remember is to change the fluid at the first 15K of operation and clean out the diff housing. Both front and rear.The rear diff will take 4 qts of 75W-90 gear oil with the stock cover. If it's an aftermarket such as the Mag-Hytec it will take 7.5 qts. If you are doing a lot of towing or hauling heavy loads I recommend you use 75W-110 in the rear diff. The Amsoil Product for this is Severe Gear oil. Regardless, I see that the Maxlife ATF is now a multi-vehicle product with a lower viscosity than Valvoline's other Dex 3 fluid. Fluid sure looks like it's logged 100,000 miles, and is just a little low, but no major problems. Drain plug has real fine metal "powder" sludge, but no chunks of metal at all to my surprise.
