Glock can replace the frame with either the next in line production serial number, or make a new frame with a serial number similar to the existing serial number, but with a "1" preceding the rest of the old number.I can't remember how many digits they started with, But I was thinking it was two alpha's and three numerals=5 +US = 7 digits to meet requirement. One serial number is XXX000 but the other is XXXX000 (4 letters instead of 3) Both say Austria and both look the same. Although, the 4 letter model did not come with a fired casing envelope.serialed g19 (C). Mine is a 19C (compensated) model. It is from 1996. It's a 2-pin frame as well. Most guys will tell you there were no 2-pin G19C models made by Glock. Not so. ….
