Requirements for the Master of Science (M.S.) degree are thirty semester hours of graduate courses, including a thesis (5V99) and at least twelve semester hours from the Ph.D. core courses (PHY 5320, 5330, 5331, 5340, 5360, 5370 and 5371). The Physics Department does not have a foreign language requirement for the M.S. degree.The Department of Physics is also affiliated with two other research centers.
