I really have enjoyed playing Vlad so far because though my…Ryze and Vlad are very similar champions, and Vlad easily has the higher hand in a team fight situation. One thing that ryze does have against Vlad though is split push capabilities. As a ryze, you will never want to fight against a blade in a team fight. Early game just shit on him like usual, and then proceed to perms side lane the whole game. 150 votes, 56 comments. Vlad top is an ok pick, but it has a lot more counters top than mid. The trick is to change playstyle, because the thing is, top was his lane pre-rework. It's such an easy matchup for Ekko as you scale pretty hard so unlike most matchups for Vlad he can't just only farm and expect to win. Play smart, keep your poke appropriately going, help your team and don't play a scaling game vs Vlad. Most importantly, keep your spacing right. Vlad has sustain, untargetability, good mobility with the predator/ghost builds, his kit is pure damage. Just imagine how impossible it is to kite a fed vladimir with ghost or pred.
