I had posted a couple days ago asking whether I should buy the Ruger SFAR or the Sig 716i and got tons of support mainly leading me to the Sig but I had a couple people recommend the Aero M5. So as the title says what is better. (I attached the link to the aero m5. I have no inclination to build my own rifle)

It does a great job of controlling recoil…but the muzzle blast is impressive! Shooting 7.62s out of the SFAR has proven to be largely unreliable as they are, most of the time, too underpowered to properly cycle the rifle. Pretty much anything under 2800 fps muzzle velocity isn't worth shooting for the sake of reliable cycling.

Jan 25, 2022 · I personally believe the 716I is the best rifle you can buy for the money in the AR-308/AR-10 Battle Rifle category. I think the 716I can perform alongside its older sibling, the 716 G1 & G2 Piston guns probably to the surprise of many. The 716I may also be able to potentially shoot more accurately than the 716 due to it build type.

So similar applies to 7.62 and .308, just reversed. Generally a rifle is marked for its intended caliber but then you can use the slightly smaller counterpart on it. So if you have a .308 you can shoot both, if you have a 7.62 you should only be putting 7.62 trough it. Sent from my SM-N986U1 using Tapatalk.36.1 cm. Grooves5. UPC7-36676-05615-6.
