From what I find the letters in the beginning indicate it's a Remington-era manufacture, but the Remington cheatsheets say the first letter is a month code ...Then there is the Marbles Tang sight for the 1894. Price wise, the Williams GRS (Guide) is around $35, The Williams FP is $70, the Skinner $90, and the NECG is $90. The Marbles tang sight is $120, and I believe it mounts one screw replacing the stock screw, but needs the other hole drilled and tapped into the tang.
