2021 Rubicon dct shifting problems solved. Back story. Purchased my 2021 Rubicon brand new from the dealer. Almost immediately it started having shifting issues, flashing gear indicator. I told the dealer the issue and they had a look and said nothing is wrong. Turns out it had the software defect and the shift fork got damaged.

Remove the shift motor and gears (very simple to do). Remove all the factory stiff, gummy grease that was put in the shift gears. Now, replace all that grease with a liberal amount of ALL-temperature, White Lithium Grease. Reassemble, and your shifting will be better. Jul 15, 2015 · The DCT Tranny Is pretty solid. For working on those units for almost 8 years I have had only angle sensor failures. Since then Honda has changed how the seal and are way better and cheaper to replace if there is any problems.

It's not hard to do. Just remove the axle first. Remove the tires and hubs, remove the large axle nuts, unbolt and remove the rear brakes and brake panel (4 nuts), and knock the axle out the right side.
